Obituary for Richard B. Knight

Richard B. Knight age 70, of Mickleton passed away Friday, June 23rd, 2017 at his home. Richard was a proud 14 year veteran of the United States Marines, serving during Vietnam and other overseas posts. He permanently retired in 1980 from active service and earned his Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University. He continued his career working with the U.S. Department of Navy as a Supervisory Personnel Management Specialist retiring in 2002.
Rich and his wife Kathy were avid Rv’ers. In a 12 year span they set up camp in 47 States and 5 Canadian Province. Rich also enjoyed motorcycling, taking care of his land, and maintaining his RV.
Richard is survived by wife Kathleen M. (nee Loyzelle), brothers William J. Knight, Joplin, MO, John D. Knight, Perry, FL, sisters Pearl Ward, Perry, FL, Mary L. (Ted) Kroese, Freeport, FL, Susan (George) Baily, DeFuniak Springs, FL and Linda (Mitch) Coleman, Mexico Beach, FL, predeceased by his wife Candice R. Knight (nee Cain), brothers Bernice F. Knight and Herman L. Knight and sisters Margaret L. Holden & Meryl Knight.
Family and Friends are invited to visit from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 28th, 2017 at Smith Funeral Home and Thursday, June 29th, 2017 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, NJ 08051. Funeral Services will be held at 10:45 am on Thursday, June 29th, 2017 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church 51 N. Main Street Mullica Hill, NJ 08062, with burial to follow at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro, NJ 08020.
