Barbara Marie "Radlinger"  Cameli (Radlinger)
Barbara Marie Radlinger Cameli formerly of Gibbstown, NJ, departed peacefully surrounded by family at Kennedy Memorial Hospital on January 4, 2017. Preferring to live her life with quiet simplicity, she had a deep devotion to her faith, of family, and life time friends. She often spoke of happy memories with her family, aunts and cousins. Her special aunts were known as “The Kelly Girls” who she spent her happiest years with growing up. Happy times were summers in Ocean City, NJ and Long Beach Island, NJ with family. Barbara was an avid reader of all of her favorite books. She loved springtime, lily of the valley, watching beautiful swans drifting across the lakes, along with her husband John. They loved their many trips to Virginia, Washington, New York and Florida. Barbara is the wife of the late John A. Cameli of Gibbstown, NJ. She is the daughter of the late William F. Radlinger Sr. and Edna M. Radlinger (nee Kelly) of Philadelphia and Gloucester City, NJ. Barbara is the granddaughter of the late William J. Kelly and Alice Kelly (nee Peacock) of the “Renowned Kelly Family” of Philadelphia. The paternal granddaughter of the late Carl W. Radlinger and Barbara M. Radlinger of Koetzing, Germany and Gloucester City, NJ. Barbara was a graduate of Saint Mary’s School and Gloucester Catholic High School, Class of 1947. A proud and chosen member of Alpha Sigma Sorority and the Catholic Daughters of America. She was a lifelong member of Gloucester Catholic High School Alumnae. Barbara served as operator representative for The New Jersey Bell Telephone Company, was a Volunteer for Underwood Memorial Hospital for many years. She was a CCD Instructor for St. Michael’s Parish in Gibbstown, NJ. Survived by two sisters and one brother: Ruth E. Robinson of Washington Twp. NJ, Dolores A. Batavick (Frank) of Westminster, Maryland, William W. Radlinger (Gloria) of Dayton, Ohio; three daughters and one son: John W. Cameli of Woodbury, NJ, Carolyn B. Cameli of Houston, Texas, Muriel G. Leone (Russell J. Sr.) of Mickleton, NJ, Yvonne Laurusonis (late Dr. John D. MD) of Cumming, Georgia; six grandchildren: Janel M. Catalano (Joseph) of Pilesgrove, NJ, Russell D. Leone (April) of Swedesboro, NJ, Amy E. Zengo (Alex) of Houston, Texas, Andrew T. Laurusonis of Cumming, Georgia, Shelby L. Laurusonis of Queens, New York; eight great grandchildren: Joseph Catalano, Natalie Catalano, June Leone, Joseph Leone, Abbott Zengo, Ainsley Zengo, William Leone and the Late Russell A. Leone.
Family and Friends are invited to visit from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 11th, 2017 at Church Of The Incarnation, 240 Main Street, Mantua, New Jersey 08051. Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Eglington Cemetery. Donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
