Gateway Class of 2005

Mr. Howard was an awesome teacher. He definitely loved what he did and really enjoyed making a difference in his students lives. English wasn't my best subject, but Mr. Howard gave me a reason to go to class everyday. Will never forget the Fickle Finger of Fate when someone was sent to the Vice Principal's office or the story of the Hawaiian Tidal Wave. There was also his spontaneous musical performances in the middle of class. Nothing will top Mr. Howard's story of witnessing Pat Wilson wrestling his big white dog Jack in the front yard as he drove by. Mr. Howard was fun, caring and would do anything to protect his students, which included bear hugging someone to breakup a fight. Mr. Howard made a huge difference in the lives of countless number of people and will be greatly missed.
