Obituary for Marion E. Allen (Eggert)
Marion E. Allen (nee Eggert), age 88, of Mount Royal, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at her home after a battle with cancer. She was from Wenonah and was the daughter of the late George Eggert and Florence (nee Sturr). Mrs. Allen was a graduate of Glassboro State Teachers College. She taught Kindergarten and First grade at Billingsport Elementary School in Paulsboro until her retirement She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mantua, and enjoyed the YMCA Arthritis Swim group, bus trips, reading and doing Find-A-Word.
She is survived by her daughter, Martha Temple (Brian), her son, George Allen, six grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Mrs. Allen was predeceased by her son John Allen, III.
Family & Friends are welcome to attend a graveside service at 11 am on Wednesday, May 17th, at Wenonah Cemetery, in Mantua. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Mantua, 109 Lincoln Ave., Mantua, NJ 08051.
