Elvio J.  Severino
Elvio J. Severino, age 92, of Oak Valley passed away Monday, January 1, 2018. Born in South Philadelphia he enlisted in the Army during WWII, where he was wounded in action. He started as a mechanic for an auto dealer, eventually retiring from the Navy Yard after 31 years. Elvio then kept busy driving a shuttle bus for Deptford Twp. For 20 years. Riding the Tram Car in Wildwood, eating at diners and the Phillies and Eagles were among his favorite things. He was a member of the VFW Post 7679, Westminster Road Bridge Club and for 10 years Woodbury Bowling League. Elvio had the honor to be awarded with Man of the Year in Deptford Township.

Elvio is survived by his daughter Elaine McDermott and her husband Lynn, grandchildren Ryan McDermott and his wife Justine and Kelsey McDermott and her Fiance’ Matt Petrowski, son Robert Severino and his wife Judy, grandchildren Theresa Estrada and her husband Elmer, Robert Severino Jr. and his wife Patricia, and Kenneth Severino, great grandchildren Nicole Wilson, Robert Severino III, E.J. Estrada, and Alex Severino, son Stephen Severino and his wife Donna, grandchildren Nicole Severino, Melissa Severino, Charlene Leon, Lauren Mobertz and Josh Mobertz, great grandchildren Justin Leon and Carson Mobertz, and brother Anthony Severino. He was predeceased by his wife Mary J. (nee Hooper) and sister Emily Cimeo.

Family and Friends are invited to visit from 9 to 10:45 am on Saturday, January 13th at Infant Jesus Parish At St. Margaret's Church 845 Third Street Woodbury Heights, NJ 08097. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am.
