Obituary for Alberto Mendoza Martinez

Alberto (Pony) Mendoza Martinez age 57, of Woolwich Township passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021. Born in Acapulco, Mexico, he was formerly of Marlton NJ and Springfield PA, and has been living in Woolwich Twp. for the last 19 years. Alberto was the owner of Alberto Martinez Painting and Wallpaper and was the best in his craft, known for his impeccable wallpapering skills. Alberto valued family above everything. He found so much joy spending time with his loved ones, hosting holiday gatherings, and visiting and FaceTiming his family members in Mexico and Canada. He was an avid runner, enjoyed playing frisbee, and spending time on the beach in Bethany Beach, Delaware & Acapulco, Mexico. Alberto was a huge sports fan and could always be found cheering on the Mexican National Soccer Team and all four of the Philadelphia Sports teams. Most of all, Alberto loved watching his daughter Isabella play volleyball and sing on stage.

He is survived by his wife Michele (Laudisio), five children, Alejandro Juarez, Jessica (Tommy) Bahls, Taylor (Justin) Kuter, Carly Aaron & Isabella Martinez, one granddaughter, Lillian Bahls, his mother, Reina (Mendoza) three brothers, Jose (Lisa), Alfredo, Sylvestre, and his sisters Suzanna and Blanca. Alberto was predeceased by his father, Gregorio Martinez.

Family and Friends may visit from 8-10 AM on Wednesday April 7th at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ. Celebration of Life Mass will be held at St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Michael's Church, 313 Memorial Ave., Gibbstown, NJ at 11 am. Mass will also be live-streamed for those who cannot attend in person and can be found at https://www.stclarenj.org/live-stream (select Gibbstown Campus).
