Obituary for Alice K. McEwen (Keeler)

Alice K. McEwen age 89, of Paulsboro, formerly of West Deptford passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019. Born in Blackwood to the late Charles W. Keeler and Henrietta (Houseman), she was a graduate of Woodbury High School. Alice worked at NJ Bell until she was introduced to the love of her life, Earl. She was a member of Colonial Manor United Methodist Church, The Gideon Auxiliary, and attended Faith Bible Church in Thorofare. Alice was also member of Greater Woodbury Cooperative Ministries and coordinator for the Food Pantry at Colonial Manor United Methodist Church. She was a devoted and loving wife, and a cherished mother. One of her greatest joys was being Nana to Taylor and Joshua.

She is survived by her loving husband, Earl S. McEwen Sr., three children, Leslie (Jeff) Miklos of Mickleton, Earl S. McEwen Jr. of Paulsboro, and Amy (Jim) Buttaro of Haddonfield, two grandchildren, Taylor and Joshua Scott Buttaro, her brother-in-law, Clair E. McEwen, and many nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her siblings, Melissa Gohagan, Elizabeth Tardiff, and Jean Rausnitz.

Family and Friends may visit from 12:30 pm to 1 pm on Saturday, April 6th, at Colonial Manor United Methodist Church 56 Elberne Ave. Woodbury, NJ where a Memorial Service will be held at 1 pm.
