Arlene F. Mayberry Loveland of West Deptford passed away on October 11, 2018 at Manor Care at the age of 75. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband Edward R. Loveland of 20 years. Arlene was a devoted sister to Vivienne L. Mayberry Hale and Vivienne’s fiancé Edward Hyndman. She was a beloved aunt to Dawn Watson Jones (Gary) and Tracy Hale Iglesias (Manny). Arlene was a great aunt to Kasey Hayes Harris (Tom), Adam Hayes, Matt and Eric Allen, MJ and Olivia Iglesias, Alex and Michael Jones. Arlene was predeceased by her mother, Dorothy VanMeter Mayberry and her father Walter A. Mayberry and nephew Dwayne Alen Watson. She will be remembered by one aunt, numerous cousins and countless devoted friends. The family wants to especially thank the staff of Manor Care for their excellent devotion to care for Arlene.

Arlene was born in Woodbury and went to Williamstown High School class of 1962. She was a member of the Red Hats Society called Hats Are Us and the Laurel and Hardy fan club. Arlene and her husband made numerous donations to the Lost and Found Dog Rescue organization, supported the K-9 Vests of West Deptford Police, and the Coats for Carol’s Kids. She loved to go on cruises and traveled far and wide which included England, Germany and Italy. Arlene will be remembered for her loving rescue of her canine families over the years. She was a philanthropist in her own way.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a viewing from 6 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, October 17th, and 10 AM to 11 AM on Thursday, October 18th at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where a celebration of life will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, officiated by the Reverend Brian Rhea from Cross Keys Church. Interment will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 481 Delsea Drive, Hurffville.
