Obituary for Arona Black Potter

Arona (Ronnie) Black Potter (nee Grossman), age 75 of Carneys Point, died Thursday March 27, 2008.
Born in Atco, NJ she lived in Sewell from 1956-1992, then moved to Elmer and lived the last 2 years in Carneys Point(Southgate Nursing Home). Former member of Sewell Community Baptist Church, she was active with the Azores Class, was a Sunday School teacher and a choir member. Presently she was a member of Olivet United Methodist Church(Centerton). Mrs. Potter was a realtor for 30 years in the South Jersey area and enjoyed working with local theater groups. Wife of the late Andrew Black Jr. for 49 years, and the late Charles Potter for 5 years. She is survived by her son Dr. Andrew S. Black and his wife Margaret of Woodstown, 4 grandchildren Cindi Duffield, Ciarra, Amanda, and Andrew W. Black, one brother Leland Grossman and his wife Betsy of Medford. Predeceased by daughter, Vicki Black Duffield and sister Pearl Grossman. Relatives and friends may visit with the family 12 noon to 1 PM Saturday, April 5, 2008 at SMITH FUNERAL HOME 47 Main St., Mantua, NJ where memorial services will be held at 1 PM. Cremation private. Contributions in Arona's memory may be made to American Diabetes Association, 1060 Kings Highway Suite 309, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034, or NJ American Parkinsons Disease Association Chapter, PO Box 214, Elizabeth, NJ 07207
