Betty H Ernst, age 84, of Woolwich Twp., passed away January 13, 2020. Betty was born in Philadelphia, lived in Mantua New Jersey, and retired in Cape May New Jersey, where she enjoyed living at the beach. She was a longtime member of Cape May Lutheran Church. She was also an active member at Cape May VFW Post 386, where she helped serve many holiday meals to the new recruits from the Coast Guard base there.
Betty was predeceased by her husband Richard M. Ernst, Sr.; survived by her children,
Richard M. Ernst, Jr. (Sara), Edward W. Ernst, Sr. (Deborah), Linda DeMarco (Joseph),
and Joanne Maugeri (Samuel); Grandchildren, Edward Ernst, Jr. (Brittany),
Paul DeMarco (Bridget), Nicole Mondi (Tony), Richard Ernst, III (Jinyoung),
Thomas Ernst, Ashley Quarella (Tony), Stephen DeMarco, Stacey Maugeri,
Laura Ernst; also survived by 10 great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her son Donald, and her grandson Samuel.
Family and friends are invited to visit from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ 08051 where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM.
