Charlotte J. Nelson, age 102 of Woodbury passed away on Friday November 4, 2022. A Southern Belle from Olive Branch, Mississippi, who married a handsome Yankee from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. They settled in Woodbury, joined the Presbyterian Church and raised a family. Charlotte was a deacon and a Sunday School teacher, she sewed beautiful dresses for her daughters and herself. She gardened and loved flowers and plants inside and out. Her son-in-law described her as the epitome of graciousness. She lived her 102 years with love and kindness.

Wife of the late Henry R. Nelson, she is survived by her children, Judy Nelson Platt & her husband David of Woodbury, Charles Nelson & his wife Giselle of Ithaca, NY, and Janice Apple of New Windsor, MD, grandchildren, Joanna Platt, Nathan Solomon, Aaron & Jamie Platt, Dan Platt, Margaret Weirich, Kathy Apple, Dan Mandelbaum, and Lara & Chris Turner, and great grandchildren, Miriam Willock, Adley, Lukas, Remi-Jane Turner, and Lydia Solomon.

Relatives and Friends may visit from 10 am to 11 am on Saturday, November 12th at Presbyterian Church of Woodbury, 67 S. Broad Street, Woodbury, NJ where a Memorial Service will be held at 11 am. Memories & condolences can be shared at www.smithfhmantua.com
