Christopher Groody "Pop" age 65, of Mantua passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 surrounded by his wife and girls. Born in Camden to the late Joseph M. Groody and Marie J. (Keenan), he graduated from Clearview Regional High School Class of 1972. Chris worked for Baxter Healthcare located in Logan Twp. He was an avid Philadelphia Sports and Notre Dame Fan, and spent countless hours setting his Fantasy Football, Basketball, Hockey, and Baseball Lineups. Chris coached Mantua Little League and Clearview Youth Basketball. He loved to travel to South Dakota and to Notre Dame football games. Chris enjoyed fishing, trips to the beach, and playing FreeCell. Most of all he loved his family and friends, and adored his grandchildren.

Chris is survived by his wife Elizabeth "Betsy" Groody (nee Hengel), his four daughters, Melissa Groody (Jeff), Kristina Groody (Phil), Mary Groody, Kelly Groody, six grandchildren, Rian, Macie, Lane, Lynzie, Derek, Ryan, his sister, Ann M. Wilbraham, his brother, Michael J. Groody (Ginni), and many nieces, nephews and in-laws. He was also predeceased by his brother-in-law, Frank Wilbraham.

Family and Friends may visit from 3 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, November 13th, and from 8 am to 10:15 am on Wednesday, November 14th at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Church of the Incarnation, 240 Main Street, Mantua, NJ 08051 on Wednesday at 11 am. Burial will follow at Wenonah Cemetery.
