Concetta Brigandi Vinci age 90 of South Philadelphia passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021. Born in Messina, Italy to the late Salvatore Brigandi and Santa (nee Caruso), she came to the United States with her family when she was 40 years old. Concetta worked for Pincus Brothers-Maxwell in Philadelphia where she was a seamstress. She loved Sicilian Music, cooking, traveling, and going to the gym. She enjoyed socializing, shopping and had an extensive shoe collection. Concetta always wanted to look her best and was always dressed to impress. Most of all she loved her family and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Wife of the late Basilio Vinci, she is survived by her children, Carmela Vinci (Salvatore Cuce’) of Southern NJ and Nicolino Vinci (Carmen Cosme) of Egg Harbor Twp. NJ, three grandchildren, Frank, Antonella (Michael) and Basilio and two great grandchildren, Cole and Eliana. She was also predeceased by six siblings.
Family and Friends may visit from 9 am to 10:30 am on Thursday, March 11th, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street Mantua, NJ 08051. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Church of the Incarnation, 240 Main Street, Mantua, NJ at 11 AM. Entombment will follow at Fernwood Mausoleum in Lansdowne, PA.
