Obituary for Daniel J. Trotter

Daniel J. Trotter age 81, of Mantua passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020. Born in Philadelphia to the late John Trotter and Helen (Gaynor), he served in the US Army in the aftermath of the Korean War. Dan worked for Craft-Bilt in Philadelphia and was involved with the Mantua Recreation Committee, coached baseball & basketball, and organized the Mantua Men's & West Deptford Men's Softball Leagues. He also was an umpire and was a member of the South Jersey Umpire Association. Dan was an avid Philadelphia Eagles & Phillies Fan and enjoyed crossword puzzles.

He is survived by his wife, Regina R. Trotter (Dugan), two children, Joe Trotter & his wife Mary of Mantua and Dianne Keen of Mantua, four grandchildren, Jennifer, Bruce Jr., Mathew & Alysha, two great grandchildren, Jayla & Tyler and his sister, Helen Butkis. Dan was also survived by his dog Dugan. He was predeceased by his daughter, Theresa Trotter and his son-in-law, Bruce Keen Sr.

Family and Friends may visit from 9 am to 10:30 am on Monday, January 4th, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street Mantua, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Church of the Incarnation, 240 Main Street, Mantua, NJ at 11 am. Burial with Military Honors will be at Wenonah Cemetery after Mass.
