Diane Mary Pontelandolfo (nee King) died on April 24 at her home in Pine Hill, N.J., at age 64.
A loving mother, sister and friend, Diane was known for her dedication to her family, especially
her sons John and Marc Pontelandolfo. Her extended family will always remember Diane for
the loving care she gave to her mother-in-law Angela Pontelandolfo in the last years of her life.
Diane had fond memories of skiing in Vermont as a child and family vacations in Townsends
Inlet, NJ. Later in life her favorite vacation spot was Sea Isle City, NJ where she spent a week
every year with her close friends. Her number one priority was her children, who recall their
mother’s love in so many aspects of their lives, including her creative birthday cakes and the
wonderful times they had with her at Christmas, her favorite holiday. Diane loved her early
work with special needs children, and later as a home health aide before her recent retirement.

She is survived by sons John M. Pontelandolfo, Jr. (Nicole) and Marc A. Pontelandolfo; siblings
Donald A. King, Jr. (JoAnn), Valerie Kaufmann (Dennis), and Matthew Nickel Sr. (Sherron);
cousins, nieces and nephews, sisters- and brothers-in-law; and the father of her children, John
M. Pontelandolfo, Sr. She was predeceased by her mother, Mary A. Nickel and her father,
Donald A. King, Sr.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 2 pm, inside the VFW Post 7679,
8 New York Ave., Mantua, N.J., 08051. Additional parking is available at the Mantua Township
