Dianne C. Whitaker (Heilman) age 77, of Logan Township passed away on September 26, 2019 surrounded by family and friends after a two year battle with cancer. Dianne was devoted to her family and friends and a loyal employee of Amerisource Bergen in West Deptford. Among her many hobbies and ambitions, she loved traveling, enjoyed nature, gardening, horseback riding, decorating, entertaining, walking the parks and most of all spending time with loved ones. Dianne volunteered her time to support her son Jimmy in many school systems and special needs programs. She proudly attended the events of her children and grandchildren throughout their life and was dedicated to the happiness of her family. She was a lifelong Methodist and attended Trinity United Methodist Church of Mullica Hill.

Dianne was the daughter of the late Evelyn and Lewis Heilman from Bridgeport, NJ, and the wife of the late Karl Whitaker and “the best mother in the world” to the late James “Jimmy” Leonard. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Ridinger, (Steve) of Mount Royal, Dee Hackett (Josh) of Pilesgrove, Stepsons Kent Whitaker, Jeff Whitaker, Dan Whitaker (Jenny) and Mark Whitaker, Dianne was the proud grandmother of 11, a loving sister to Lewis Heilman (Babette), William Heilman (Linda) and caring aunt to Jen Flatley and Tina Kille.

Family and Friends may visit from 6-7:30 pm with a memorial service following on Friday, OCTOBER 11th at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ 08051. Graveside service at Lake Park Cemetery in Swedesboro will be OCTOBER 12th at 11 AM.
