Obituary for Donald L. Fuhrmeister
Donald L. Fuhrmeister age 87, of West Deptford passed away on Thursday, May 2nd, 2019. Donald was born in Philadelphia, he was a graduate of Paulsboro High School, and a veteran of the United States Navy. He retired from Air Products in Paulsboro as Maintenance Supervisor. Donald spent many years living in Colonial Manor and West Deptford and was a Lifetime Member of the Green-Fields Volunteer Fire Company. He enjoyed his over 20 years living in Florida, and especially playing golf.
Husband of the late Dorothy, Donald is survived by his children Lynn (Frank) Heiss, Steven Fuhrmeister, Brian (Patricia) Fuhrmeister, and Karen (Tom) Shaw. His grandchildren David (Amy) Heiss, Erik (Jaclyn) Heiss, Sarah, Matthew, and Thomas Shaw, also 4 great grandchildren Isla, Harrison, Hazel, and Ruby.
Family and Friends are invited to visit from 9:30 to 11:00 am on Tuesday May 7, 2019 at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, NJ 08051. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, with Military Honors and burial to follow at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Green-Fields Volunteer Fire Company, 31 Budd Blvd., West Deptford, NJ 08096 or Huntington's Disease Society of America (HDSA), 505 Eighth Ave., Suite 902, New York, NY 10018. Memories and condolences can be shared at www.smithfhmantua.com
