Obituary for Donald Nils Kohler
Donald Nils Kohler, age 86 of Westmont, NJ and Rotonda West, Florida passed away on April 6, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Don was affectionately known as DK, DK from NJ, and DK Rider. He was a retired electrician and a 60-year member of IBEW Local 351 where he made lifelong friends. He was an avid boater and loved spending time on the water fishing and riding the Sea-Doo. He also enjoyed bicycling and you could not miss him riding about town in his safety vest, goggles, and helmet. He also enjoyed the fine art of duct tape and had been known to decorate with it. Don was never one to pass up a chocolate chip cookie, a sliver of cake with a cup of coffee and the chance to "shoot the breeze".
Donald was the son of the late Nils and Sophie; dear brother of Bruce (Barbara); husband of the late Monica Kohler; loving partner of Karen Jones; dear father of Kimberly Guerriero (Alan), Jill Rastelli (Anthony), Tracy Fiorentino (Christopher); grandfather of Lauren DeMarco (TJ), Anthony Rastelli (Kristina), Nicole Rastelli (Scott) and Sophia Fiorentino; great grandfather of Anthony, Annabelle, Sienna, Angelina, Isabella, Lorenzo and Giovanni. He was a loving presence to the family of Monica.
Friends and family are invited to visit Friday, April 22, 2022 from 10:00am to 11:00 am at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, New Jersey where a Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Locustwood Cemetery, Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
