Donald J. Pappernek age 54, of Mantua passed Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at home. Donald was retired from Nu-Star in Thorofare where he worked as an Oil Refinery operator. Don enjoyed his time watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys, hockey, camping, working on cars, cooking, spending time with family, helping people, and was known to frequent local diners. Donald was also very involved with the Knights of Columbus at St. Patrick’s Church where he was a 4th degree knight as well as Church of the Incarnation in Mantua.

Donald is survived by his father William Pappernek; brother William Pappernek, sister Theresa Sandone and husband Joe. Also, by his nieces and nephews Christopher and his wife Jamie, Alexandra, William, Brandon, Gabrielle, and Joseph, also by two great nephews Derek and Dalton Foy, and by longtime partner Marlene Barbato, and her son Michael Barbato-Buckley and his wife Jasmin. He was predeceased by his mother Theresa Pappernek.

Family and Friends are invited to visit from 6:30pm to 9:00pm on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, New Jersey 08051. Mass of Christian Burial to be held Thursday February 16, 2023 at 11:00am at Church of The Incarnation 240 Main Street Mantua, New Jersey 08051.
