Obituary for Dora L. Hamann (Deer)

Dora Lee Hamann, age 79 of West Deptford passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. She was born in Boles, Arkansas on November 1, 1941. Dora lived with her parents Dorothy and Osco Deer in Dierks, Arkansas. She loved visiting and spending time with her Memaw and Granddad where she learned how to sew and quilt blankets. Dora raised three sons with their father Don. She loved sewing clothes for them and made suits for their special occasions.

Dora married Larry Hamann in 1982. They were truck drivers together. As little as she was, Dora learned how to drive a big rig. She received her CDL and the two of them travelled around the United States and Canada. Dora loved to line dance and was happy with every opportunity she had to dance. Dora's favorite thing to do was spend time with her dogs Sassy and then Mia. She also loved spending time with her best friend Barbara.

Wife of the late Lawrence Hamann, she is survived by three sons, Donnie Lott, Terry Lott & his wife Maureen, and Ronnie Lott; five grandchildren, Melissa Edwards & her husband Roy, Danielle Morris & her husband Scott, Terry Lott & his wife Kristina, Tyler Lott and Jordan Lott; five great grandchildren, Rheanna, Sarah, Cameron, Adam and Alex; siblings, Bonnie Bagley and Leon Deer & his wife Rose; and sister-in-law, Jackie Deer. Dora was predeceased by her sister, Hilda Myers; brother, Albert Deer; and brother-in-law, Charles Bagley. Dora had many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was loved by all who knew her. She will be missed greatly.
