Doris Ann Bauman, age 75, of Mantua Township passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022. Born in Woodbury, she was a resident of Mantua Township for 71 years and attended J. Mason Tomlin School. Doris graduated from Clearview Regional High School in 1964. She was an active member of multiple divisions of the Grange, at the Mickleton, Gloucester County, State, and National chapters for 60 years. Doris was also a dedicated member of the German American Cultural Society and Evangelical United Methodist Church. In her profession as a talented florist, Doris worked at CJ Sanderson and Son’s in addition to several other local floral shops. Airedale dogs were her pride and joy, and she also loved watching and feeding birds. When it came to her 3 nephews and their families, there was nothing more important to Doris.
Daughter of the late Elizabeth and Oscar Bauman, Doris is survived by her twin sister, Bette Jane (Allen) Counsellor; nephews Mark (Jennifer) Counsellor, Kevin (Stacey) Counsellor and Edward (Charlene) Counsellor; and several grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to visit from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, January 28, 2022, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ 08051 where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro, NJ 08020.
