Doris Allene Whitney (nee Wagner) age 86, of Pitman passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021. Born in Dallas, TX to the late Alfred E. Wagner and Minnie Helen (nee Zaeske), she moved to Woodbury in 1949. Doris was a graduate of Woodbury High School Class of 1952. She started a career at Sony Music in Pitman and retired after 44 years of service. Doris also worked part-time as a tax assessor clerk for the Borough of Pitman for 12 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed camping, working in the yard, reading, crocheting, and doing jig saw puzzles. Doris also enjoyed travelling on the local senior citizen bus with friends to various places of interest. Most of all she loved being with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Roger C. Whitney, her son, Christopher Wayne Hoffner & his spouse Ruthann, her daughter, Karen Lynn Kushner, five stepchildren, grandchildren, Brad Michael Kushner & his spouse David D'Amico, Drew Thomas Kushner & his spouse Kimberly, Kayla Christine Kushner-Richards, Christopher Craig Hoffner & his spouse Heather & Brian Peter Hoffner & his spouse Amy, and eight great grandchildren. Doris is also survived by her twin sister, Ila Maxine Gattuzo.
