Obituary for Dorothy L. Thomas

Dorothy L.  Thomas
Dorothy L. Thomas age 92, of Deptford Twp. passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016. Born in Camden, she lived in Haddon Heights for 55 years, and graduated from Haddon Heights High School, Class of 1941. Dorothy worked at RCA for 42 years. She was an avid Phillies Fan, enjoyed playing golf, bowled & competed in the women's nationals bowling tournaments, traveled around the world, and attended the 1964 Tokyo & the 1968 Mexico City Olympics. Dorothy was an excellent organizer of bowling leagues, class & family reunions. She was known as a true friend and a humanitarian to all she met.

She is survived by her life long friend, Doris M. Litle, her brother, Stanley O. Thomas and his wife Carolyn, her nieces, Reenie Crawford (Reed), Sandra Brown (Kevin), her nephews, Alan Thomas (Amy), Jay Thomas (Kay), 8 great nieces and nephews and 7 great-great nieces & nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by her brother, Richard I. Thomas.

Family & friends may visit from 9:30 to 11 AM Friday, March 25th, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where a time of sharing will take place at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro, NJ. As an expression of sympathy contributions can be made to Heartland Hospice 190 N. Evergreen Ave. Suite 122 Woodbury, NJ 08096.
