Obituary for Earl W. Buzby

Earl W.  Buzby
Earl W. Buzby "Erch" age 87, of Barnsboro passed peacefully on Sunday, March 10, 2019. Born in Woodbury to the late Earl and Grace (nee McKeighen) Buzby, he served on the USS Duncan in the US Navy during the Korean War from 1951 to 1955. He lived in the Hurffville section of Washington Twp. for 25 years before moving to Barnsboro in 1958. Erch was a member of the Barnsboro United Methodist Church.

He was a hard-working carpenter all his life and retired from Heinz Hoefers & Son in 1993. After retirement, he enjoyed working as a courier for the Gloucester County Federal Savings Bank.

Erch enjoyed fishing, family vacations in the Poconos, working in the yard and attending senior lunches. Some of his fondest memories were driving the equipment truck for the Kings Crusaders in the 1970's where he was affectionately known as "Mr. B".

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Edna (nee Marshall), his children Cindy Wolf of Mantua, Sherry Flynn and her husband Gerald "Butch" of Sewell and Mark Buzby and his wife Andrea of Mickleton, seven grandchildren Jeffrey, Brian and Kevin Wolf (fiancee Diana), Heather (Justin) Phifer, Brandon (Kim) Flynn, Marissa and Luke Buzby and his great grandson, Elijah Phifer.

Family and Friends may visit from 6 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, March 13th, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, and from 10 am to 11 am on Thursday, March 14th, at the Barnsboro United Methodist Church, 677 Main Street, Barnsboro, NJ, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Manahath Cemetery in Glassboro, NJ. As an expression of sympathy contributions can be made to the Barnsboro United Methodist Church, 125 Barnsboro Road, Sewell, NJ 08080. Memories and condolences can be shared at www.smithfhmantua.com
