Obituary for Edith Tavener
Edith Tavener (nee Evans) age 101, of Berlin passed Tuesday, June 28, 2022. She was retired from Underwood Memorial Hospital where she worked as a Registered Nurse.
Edith cherished her time with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed spending her time shopping, playing bingo, watching musicals, going out to eat, her love of chocolates, ice cream and pies, and loved to travel many years ago. Edith volunteered at Phillies games handing out souvenirs and loved playing cards with her dearest of friends. She was a devoted parishioner and member of the choir at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church and enjoyed attending church and Sunday brunch.
Edith is survived by her daughter Judith DiGiacomo; granddaughter Lisa and her husband Al Nunziato; grandchildren John Ferry, Kent and Michael Tavener; and great grandchildren John and Ashley Farrow, Anthony and Alex Nunziato, Alexis, Tayten and Jayson. She was predeceased by her children Kent and his wife Kathy, Edgar Tavener, her great grandson Eric Tavener and her parents James and Edith Evans.
Family and Friends are invited to a Memorial Mass at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 6th at St. Stephens Lutheran Church, 230 N. Evergreen Avenue, Woodbury, NJ.
