Edmond “Sonny” L. Baines III age 82, of West Deptford passed away at home surrounded by family on Thursday, September 20, 2018. He was born and raised in South Philadelphia to Edmond L. Baines II and Kathryn (Williams). Edmond served in the US Marines Corp. and was a resident of West Deptford. He worked for Gulf Oil in Philadelphia where he was an Operations and Logistics Manager for over 30 years. He was a parishioner at Church of the Incarnation in Mantua and a member of Knights of Columbus Council 8826, and the Woodbury American Legion Post 133. Edmond enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He loved Cape May, NJ, boating and fishing. Ed was also an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies Fan.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Mary J. (Feeney), three children, Edmond L. Baines IV (Michele) of West Deptford, Jacqueline Huston (George) of Mantua, and Tracy Martin (Daniel) of Mantua, five grandchildren, Lauren and Luke Baines, Riley Huston, Owen and Connor Martin, his sister, Kathleen Ciampi (Louis) and countless nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Linda Schalleur (Walter).

Relatives and Friends may visit from 9:30 am to 10:45 am on Saturday, September 29th at Church of the Incarnation, 240 Main Street, Mantua where a funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 1415 Route 70 E.
