Obituary for Edmund D. Moore Sr.

Edmund D. Moore, Sr. age 80, of "Oak Valley" Deptford Twp. passed away at home surrounded by his family on Friday, May 13, 2022. He was born in Philadelphia to the late Robert F. Moore and Marguerite (nee Collins). Ed served in the US Navy on the USS Bausell DD-845 during the Vietnam War. He was a self-employed roofing contractor and loved fishing and boating. Ed gave to numerous organizations including the Wounded Warrior Project. He enjoyed traveling, long car rides, listening to music, telling stories, and making people laugh. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Ed is survived by his wife Bernadette H. Moore (nee Merriman); his children, Edmund D. Moore Jr., Bernadette Swietanski, and Brian P. Moore; five grandchildren, Tanner & Brianna Moore, and Leigh, Bailey, & Alex Swietanski; two sisters, Marguerite Pirolli & Joan O'Malley and his sister-in-law Sheila Moore. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Moore, and brothers-in-law, Joe Pirolli and James O'Malley.

Relatives and Friends may visit from 9:30 am to 10:45 am on Saturday, May 21st at Church of the Incarnation, 240 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where a Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery, 240 N. Tuckahoe Road, Monroe Twp., NJ.
