Obituary for Edna Mae “Pierce” Matczak

Edna Mae Matczak (nee Pierce) age 76, of Sewell, died Tuesday July 26, 2005 at Presbyterian Hospital. Mrs. Matczak was born in National Park and had been a resident of Sewell for 49 years. She was retired after working for over 25 years as a matron at J. Mason Tomlin Elementary School in Mantua. Mrs. Matczak loved caring for flowers and birds. But most important was, caring for her home, her family, and especially the great grandchildren. Wife of the late Joseph, also predeceased by daughter Joanne. She is survived by two daughters: Patty McGrellis and her husband Joseph of Williamstown, Tina Hones of Sewell, three sons: Joe Matczak, Jr. of Williamstown, Michael Matczak and his wife Cathy of Sewell, Ron Matczak of Sewell, four sisters: Doris Barger of Tylersport, PA, Betty Honsell of Mullica Hill, Shirley Forsman of Mantua, Peggy Williams of Palm Harbor, FL, 11 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Saturday, July 30, 2005 from 9 to10:30 AM at the SMITH FUNERAL HOME 47 Main St. Mantua. (www.smithfhmantua.com) Funeral service at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment Woodbury Memorial Park.
