Obituary for Edna M. Sanderson (McHugh)

Edna M. Sanderson, 99 of Mantua, NJ, October 26, 2020 at Manor Care Nursing Home. Born January 16, 1921 in Cape May Court House NJ to James and Edna (Jerrell) McHugh at Cape May. Her whole life she enjoyed her family and the bay area, especially crabbing. At home, she enjoyed piecing puzzles together, especially with friends, and gardening. She also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, needlepoint and tatting, sometimes knitting very creative pieces like Sesame Street characters for family Christmas trees. In later years she enjoyed the company and accomplishments of her great grandchildren.

Edna is survived by one son, Bruce [Susan] Sanderson of Oklahoma City, one daughter Nancy [Jeff] Shaw, two granddaughters, Melissa [Paul] Cavender of Colorado Springs, Amanda [Andrew] Pollock of Norman Oklahoma, two grandsons, Jeff “Bill” [Jenna] Shaw, Bruce [Amanda] Shaw, seven great granddaughters, two great grandsons, and several loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, one son William “Bill” Sanderson, and one great grandson Logan Shaw.

She was deeply loved by her family, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and Friends are invited to visit from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, NJ 08051.
