Obituary for Edward Raymond "Big Ed" Cromwell

Edward Raymond Cromwell age 66, of Oak Valley passed away at home on Wednesday, October 11, 2017. Born in Philadelphia, he was a graduate of Washington Twp. High School class of 1968. “Big Ed” attended Philadelphia Wireless and Technical Institute and started a career as a Disc Jockey but switched to Retail Management after discovering drag racing, so he could support that passion. In addition to racing, he loved music, Broadway shows, trains and old movies. He had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with his family, especially the yearly vacations in Sea Isle City.

Ed is survived by his wife Terésa V. Cromwell (nee Cross), two daughters, Stephanie Cromwell-Bluford (Roc) and Rebecca Cromwell, two grandchildren Rocky Jr. and Amarys, three brothers, Robert, Thomas and Richard Cromwell, brothers & sisters-in-law Thomas Cross (Jane), Angelina Knighten (Malcolm) and Robert Cross, Jr. (Kathleen), many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends may visit from 10 am to 11 am on Saturday, October 14th at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, where a memorial service will be held at 11 am. In lieu of sympathy flowers, Ed requested that you support your local florist and send flowers to someone special in your life.
