Edwin D. Datz Sr. (Ed) age 84, of "Greenfields" West Deptford passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021. Born in Camden, NJ to the late Philip Valentine Datz and Odessa Mae (Green), he was raised in Mantua and graduated from Woodbury High School Class of 1954. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, photography, crafting Dulcimers and working with computers and programs. Ed loved camping in Cape May, NJ and Shenandoah, Virginia Loft Mountain Campground. Most of all he loved his family and adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Agnes (nee Gaither); children, Mary Datz Moss & her husband Stephen, Ed Datz, Jr. & his wife Lin Batcho Datz, Barbara Datz Gros & her husband Thomas and Michelle Datz Bird & her husband Charles; 13 grandchildren, Christy Moscatello, Michelle Springer, Megan McQuin, Christopher Moss, Stephanie Moss, Jonathan Datz, Amanda Butler, JD Butler, W. Cody Moss, Lauren Datz, Jaclyn Bird, Andy Moss, Tyler Bird; 4 great grandchildren, Alyssa Moscatello, Anthony Moscatello, Tristan Bowman, & Rebekah McQuin; and one brother, Philip Valentine Datz II and his wife Margaret.

Family and Friends may visit from 6 pm to 7:30 pm on Wednesday, February 3rd at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ. Interment will be private.
