Eleanor E. "Bunnie" Powell age 68, of Mullica Hill passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021. Born in Woodbury, she grew up in Paulsboro and graduated from Clearview High School. Early in her adult life she ran a personal nail salon business from her home before joining US Foods, where she retired after 20-years as a Senior Credit Manager. Lovingly known as Bunnie, she was a beloved member of the Richwood United Methodist Church where she served the congregation as a principal layperson, known as a lay leader. Bunnie thrived on connecting and talking with her fellow parishioners on faith, friendship and family. Summer vacations at the Jersey Shore, playing cards and laughing with family were her most cherished memories. Never one to pass up a card game or watch musicals, Bunnie brought joy to everyone with her. Later in life, her grandchildren brought her the same joy that she brought to others.
As a passionate and loving mother, she is survived by Nicole Powell, Nanci Powell, Stefanie Haines (Andrew) and Matthew Powell (Tara); grandchildren Joseph, Skylar, Jaxon and Payton; great grandchildren Liam and Brextin; and sisters, Nancy Sagers and Dorothy Boyce (Richard). She was predeceased by her parents; Robert and Eleanor Kinkade, brother; Robert H. Kinkade, Jr.; and brother-in-law, David Sagers.
Family and friends are invited to safely visit from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 27th at Richwood United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 111 Richwood Road, Richwood, NJ 08074. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am and capped at 75 attendees due to State COVID-19 limitations. Burial to follow at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro, NJ.
