Obituary for Florence L. Allen (Mohollen)

Florence L.  Allen (Mohollen)
Florence L. Allen (nee Mohollen) age 92, of Deptford Twp. on 27 November 2015. She was born & raised in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia. In the early 1940s, Florence married Mr. William Fenton, also of Philadelphia, moved to Mantua, NJ and eventually spent the next 60+ years. Florence worked in the Camden County Courthouse as an Abstractor until her retirement in mid-1970. After her retirement, she provided care for her husband, grandchildren, great grandchildren and those less fortunate. In 2009, her husband of more than 60 years passed away. In 2012, Florence married Mr. Linwood Allen and for the rest of her life knew great happiness. She was active with the Marine Corps League where she helped with Toys For Tots, and their other fund raising activities. Florence will be missed by all who knew her.

Florence is survived by her beloved husband, Linwood Stewart Allen, her brother, William Mohollen, her sister, Elizabeth Greenly, her children & step-children, Gloria Coryell, James Fenton, Ruth Allen, and Steven Allen, her grandchildren, Donna, Frank, Joannie, James, Emily, Michael, Nicholas, Kyle, and Cory, great grandchildren, Samantha, Nicholas, Nicole, Alexandra, Lindsey, Zachary, Layla, James, Kaeden, Hilton, Michael Jr., Gianna, Anthony, Ryan, Jake, Ashley & Lily.

Family & friends may visit from 9:30 to 11 AM Thursday, December 3rd, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street Mantua, where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery in Monroe Township, NJ. Memories and condolences can be shared at www.smithfhmantua.com
