Forrest William Wood, Sr. “Woody”, age 80 of Oak Valley, NJ passed away Monday, June 21st, 2010.  Woody was a resident of Oak Valley since 1956 and worked at DuPont Chambers Works in Deepwater for 43 ½ years where he also served as past president of the DuPont Veterans.  Woody was a Volunteer Marshall for the MacDonald’s LPGA Tour for 16 years.  He enjoyed baseball, softball, golf and was an avid fan for his grandchildren.  Woody was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church where he served as an usher.  He especially loved spending winters in Palm Harbor FL and occasionally went to see the Phillies at spring training.  He will be fondly missed by family and a multitude of friends up and down the east coast, from Canada to FL.  Woody is survived by his wife of 58 years Shirley M. (nee Matlack), his two daughters, Deborah Blackburn & her husband Thomas, Cheryl DeVoy & her husband Eric, his son, Forrest Wood, Jr., his brother Marlin Wood & his wife Carol, Grandchildren, Dennis Jr. & Marc Coralluzzo, Melissa Miller & her husband Bud, and Wes & Abby DeVoy, and one great granddaughter Mia Miller. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Wednesday, June 23rd, from 6-8 PM and Thursday from 9 to 11 AM at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church N. Monroe Ave. & Poplar St., Wenonah, NJ 08090, where funeral services will be held at 11AM.  Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Woody’s memory may be made to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
