Obituary for Frances M. Iacovelli

Frances (DiMona) lacovelli was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world, surrounded by love, in her son and daughter-in-law's home on July 21, 2023, at age 90.

Frances was born to Rose and Joseph DiMona on April 15, 1933. She was one of five siblings: Daniel, Charles, Nicholas, and Rosemarie. She married Michael lacovelli from their hometown of Camden, NJ. They shared a life together for 60 years and had two children: Frances and Joseph. Fran and Mike started from humble beginnings and throughout their life embodied the American dream.

From the beginning of her married life, Frances carried on the traditions of an Italian American lifestyle. On Sunday mornings, the smell of red sauce scented her home and spaghetti and meatballs filled the supper table. Birthdays and holidays with extended family graced the childhood of her children and enriched the lives of all who shared her hospitality. In their retirement years, Fran and Mike were happy snowbirds who travelled between New Jersey and Florida.

Fran was outgoing and made good friends wherever she went. She was a caring and compassionate person who dispensed wise advice to those seeking her counsel. She was loved by many and will be missed by all upon whom she shined her light.

Frances is survived by her two beloved children and their equally beloved spouses, Frances and Fred Schuchman and Joe and Judy lacovelli. Her two grandchildren Michael lacovelli (deceased) and Julie lacovelli, were the light of her life. She also leaves behind a devoted brother, Nicholas DiMona and his wife Dee DiMona.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 28, 2023, at St. Michael's Church, 313 Memorial Avenue Gibbstown, NJ 08027.
