Obituary for George R. Conaway Jr.

George R.  Conaway Jr.
George R. Conaway Jr. age 70, of South Harrison Twp. passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. Born in Camden, he was a graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School Class of 1966. George was employed with Mobil/Valero where he worked as an Electrician. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing at Sakima Golf Course in Carneys Point, and was treasurer at Fort Billings Credit Union for over 40 years.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Conaway (Buchanan), his three children, Jennifer (Greg) Raines of Oakton VA, Christina Dickerson of Downingtown PA, and Shawn Conaway of South Harrison Twp., 10 grandchildren, Austin, Aiden, Adam, Allie, Gabriel, Alphonsus, Sophia, Madeline, Naomi, and Lucas; sisters, Barb Wolf (Buzz) and Helen Martin (Bear), and brothers, Michael Conaway (Patty) and Timmy Conaway (Mary).

Family and Friends may visit from 10 am to 12 pm on Saturday, September 8th at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua where funeral services will be held at 12 pm. Burial will follow at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro, NJ. As an expression of sympathy, contributions in George's memory can be made to Jefferson Health, Bone Marrow Transplant Dept., Office of Institutional Advancement, 125 S.
