Obituary for George Edward Fisher

George Edward Fisher age 74, of West Deptford formerly of Paulsboro passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. Born in Camden to the late George Fisher and Anna (Palmer), he served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. George was a member of the 101st Airborne ("Screaming Eagles") and the 82nd Airborne Divisions. He was very proud to serve his country. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking, playing poker and trips to Las Vegas. George liked to work with his hands and would build and repair things around his home. He was a bowler and served as secretary of the PAL bowling league. George was considered the Godfather of his family & friends and would help anyone in need.

George is survived by his wife, Margaret "Margie" (Hulmes), two daughters, Theresa Sentell of Atco and Georgean Martinez & her husband Daniel of Mt. Laurel, grandchildren, Ashley & Justin Sentell and Collin, Nathan & Tegan Solley, Felicia Renshaw, Felicity Martinez & Angelica Martinez, great grandson, Julian Sentell, great granddaughter Luna Gutierrez, his sister, Sandy Bowker & her husband Chris of Palmyra and his dog Pepper. He also leaves behind many family and friends.

Burial will be at Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Williamstown, NJ. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
