Obituary for Gerald L. Brooks "Brooksie"

Gerald L.  Brooks "Brooksie"
Gerald L. Brooks "Brooksie" age 75, of Mantua passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018 surrounded by his family. Born in Camden to the late Donald Brooks and Marie (Waters). He graduated from Audubon High School, Class of 1961, and was a Quartermaster in the US Navy, serving on the USS "Samuel B. Roberts" from 1961-1964. Jerry was a supervisor for All Shore Heating & Air Conditioning, until retiring, and was a past member of the Barrington Rod and Reel Club, and the South Jersey Squid Hounds. He was a humble man who loved fishing, Lake Champlain, hunting, camping, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Susan (Joanne and Taylor), Louise (Domenic), and lil Jerry, and their mother, Linda Miles, his granddaughter, Nichol, also two grandsons, JJ and Jakob, and their mother, Alyson, two great grandchildren, Sean and Jason, and his brothers, Wayne (Ann), Dale (Wendy), Gary (Linda), Neil (Linda), his sisters, Diane (Joe), & Teresa (Rick), and many nieces and nephews. Jerry was predeceased by his brothers, Donald, and Glenn and his grandson, lil Kenny.

Family and Friends may visit from 6 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, May 1st, and from 10 am to 11 am on Wednesday, May 2nd, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, where funeral services will be held at 11. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery in Monroe Township, NJ.
