Geraldine M. Ardis age 94, of Sewell passed away at home on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. She was a life-long resident of Sewell and graduated from Pitman High School Class of 1946. Geraldine played basketball and field hockey at Pitman H.S. and after graduation played for the West Jersey Field Hockey League. She retired from Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company where she was a department supervisor. Geraldine was a member of Sewell Community Baptist Church and in her spare time she enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling, and spending time at her home in Sea Isle City. She was also an avid Philadelphia Phillies & Eagles Fan.

Wife of the late Milton A. Ardis, she is survived by her nieces; Cynthia Miller (Ralph), Ruth Hanker (Ed), and Ardis Lynn Porter and nephew; West J. "Jay" Kandle III (Eileen). Also survived by her great niece; Meghan E. Camp (Sean), and great nephews; Ralph G. Miller III (Melissa), West J. Kandle IV (Danielle), and Cyle J. Hanker, along with great-great nieces; Mia, Charlotte, Marissa, and Maxine. Geraldine was predeceased by her sister, Jean E. Kandle and her brother, Edward J. Schwartz.

Family & Friends may visit from 10 am to 11 am on Friday, February 24th, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where a service will be held at 11 am. Burial will follow in Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Sewell Community Baptist Church, 806 Mantua, Blvd., Sewell, NJ 08080.
