Obituary for Grant S. Brucker

Grant S.  Brucker
Grant S. Brucker, age 100 years, formerly of Mickleton, NJ, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022. He was the son of the late Samuel G. and Emma (nee Vogel) Brucker of Lancaster, OH. Grant was a seaman first class in the Coast Guard and a WWII Veteran who served on the Navy transport ship USS Callaway among other assignments. With the GI bill, he became a master machinist and ultimately the CEO of Texas Wire Shaping Co before retirement. His love of family, God, and country as well as his ready humor has endeared him to all who know him.

Grant was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (nee Johnson), daughter, Joan Smithson and son, Melvin Brucker; and survived by his children, Dianne Adams, Berton Brucker, Ronald Brucker, Dale Brucker and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.


Family and Friends are invited to visit from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday, February 24th at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, New Jersey 08051 where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am. A burial with Military Honors will be held at Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ. Memories and condolences can be shared at www.smithfhmantua.com
