Obituary for Helene Anastasia Schenk (Kopchuk)
Helene Anastasia Schenk age 59, of Deptford Twp., NJ passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at home. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late James Kopchuk and Helen (nee Leonardis), she graduated from Hallahan High School for Girls in 1981. Helene graduated from St. Joseph's Hospital School of Radiologic Technology in 1983 and worked for Penn Presbyterian Hospital where she was an X-Ray Technician. In her spare time, she enjoyed trips to North Wildwood, doing arts & crafts, drawing, and silk flowering. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and pets.
Helene is survived by her husband, Christopher Schenk; her children, Kristina & Nicholas Schenk; and her brother, James Kopchuk. She was predeceased by her sister, Maria Squares.
Family & Friends may visit from 9 am to 11 am on Wednesday, June 21st, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where a memorial service will be held at 11 am. Interment will be private.
