Obituary for Henry L. Scheetz

Henry L.  Scheetz
Henry L. Scheetz age 85, of Sewell passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at home. A life long resident of Sewell, he served in the Army during the Korean War and was awarded a Purple Heart Medal for his service. He worked as a truck driver for Teamsters Local 676, and was a member of the Lawson-Cox VFW Post #7679 in Mantua. Henry enjoyed taking care of his yard, and tending to his garden where he grew his Jersey Tomatoes.

Husband of Clara M. Scheetz, he is survived by his daughter, Theresa Harris (Norman) of Bridgeton, grandchildren, Jamie Harris (James Monforte Jr.), Bryan Harris (Patrice Kennedy), and Marc Harris, great grandchildren, James III, Jase, &, Jaxson Monforte, and Bryan Harris Jr., his sister, Martha Harkins of Sewell, and his brother, Howard Scheetz (Barbara) of Sewell, and many nieces & nephews. Henry is also survived by his dog, Chung/Lee. He was predeceased by his brothers, Billy & Eddie Scheetz.

Family & friends may visit from 9:30 to 11 AM Monday, December 28th, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where funeral services will be held at 11 AM. Burial with military honors will follow at Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery in Monroe Township, NJ. A life celebration will be held at Lawson-Cox VFW Post #7679 following burial.
