Obituary for Henry J. Talemal

Henry J. Talemal age 90, of West Deptford, NJ passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. He was born in Ansonia, CT to the late George Talemal and Dorothy (Wojnarowski). Henry was an architectural woodworker and owned his own business, Western Woodwork Inc. He was a member of American Legion Post 6010, past Commander of VFW Post 5078, and was active in Cub Scouts and started Pack 30 all in Seymour, CT. He was an active member at St. Augustine Church in North Branford, CT where he taught CCD classes and was a parishioner at Church of the Incarnation in Mantua, NJ. Henry enjoyed playing tennis, racket ball, skiing, cooking, and reading the newspaper and Time Magazine. He also liked to spend his time fishing and going to the beach. Henry especially loved riding his bike and taking trips to Sea Isle City with Janie.

Henry is survived by his best friend and wife of 15 years, Janie Talemal (Hall), two children, David Talemal (Diane) of Drexel Hill, PA and Mary Paez (Roc) of Prescott, AZ, his stepson, Michael Hall (Angela) of Mullica Hill, NJ, his sister, Florence Cronin (Edward) of CT and sister-in-law Winnie Talemal of DE, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several cousins. He was predeceased by his first wife Helen and his brother Robert Talemal.

Family and Friends may visit from 9 am to 10:30 am on Monday, March 22nd at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am at Church of the Incarnation, 240 Main Street Mantua, NJ. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro, NJ 08020.
