Obituary for Herbert F. Hingley

Herbert F. Hingley age 74, of West Deptford passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. Born in Woodbury to the late Ewart Saul Hingley and Frances Maude (nee Tyas). He grew up in National Park and graduated from Woodbury High School, Class of 1965. Herb retired from Daimler-Benz where he was an instructor for their diesel engineering department.

In his spare time, he enjoyed creating, fabricating, and working on various projects for his family and friends. Herb loved to tinker on various automotive projects throughout his life, the most recent being a 1969 Pontiac GTO. He traveled to many places with his family. Favorites included Hatteras, NC., Wildwood, the Poconos, Gettysburg, Disney World and his very own back yard for Happy Hour with his wife, Sandy. Herb also loved craft beer and in the early years riding his Triumph Chopper motorcycle with his wife.

He is survived by his wife Sandra Lee Hingley (nee Tinney), two sons, Herbert F. Hingley & his wife Cathleen, and Eric Hingley & his wife Cecelia and four grandchildren, Noah, Aubrie, Samuel & Griffin. Herb was predeceased by his brother, Wayne E. Hingley.

Family and Friends may visit from 10:30 am to 12 pm on Monday, June 6th at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where a memorial service will be held at 12 pm. Interment will be private. Memories and condolences can be shared at www.smithfhmantua.com
