I fondly remember Ida from the Tall Pines when my grandparents and parents would take me there, She was the first face you saw when entering and leaving; would come by table too. Her, Al, Vince, all of them have helped make my memories remain just like it was yesterday. My condolences to her family.
When I first moved to New Jersey from Ohio, I had few friends and no family close by. At Tall Pines, Ida quickly filled that gap as I became one of her “chicks” in her brood while she was the mother hen. I will be eternally grateful for the kindness she showed me. I am confident that the Mother Hen is at this very moment organizing operations in Heaven. I would say “Rest in Peace, Ida”, but I know that is not your style. St. Peter can use your help at the gates!
So sorry to hear of Ida's passing. She was a trip! I'm sure she is giving marching orders to St. Peter.
I am in new York with Ellen so I won't be able to visit. Please know that you in my thoughts and prayers.
Although it is difficult to part with a loved one, we come to know that Ida is in a better place and waiting until the day she will be with her family again. Ida was my neighbor many years ago and treated me as one of her family, always kind and willing to help. Rest in Peace.
Ida was a dear friend, confidante, and wonderful co-worker. We worked together for many years at The Tall Pines Inn and shared many thoughts. She will be a part of the Tall Pines family forever.
