J. Carlos I. Perez, Sr, 86, of Gibbstown, NJ passed away peacefully on February 8, 2022. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Ignacio and Paolina Perez. Husband of the late Joyce Ann (Zinn). Father of Peter Claus (Sophia), Dona (Tom), Lito Perez, Jr., Cina (Luis) Martinez, and Mia Perez. Grandfather of Peter Claus, Jr, Anita (Max), Leslie (Enrique), David, Maci, Dakota, Josh and Brooklynn, Luie Martinez and GiGi Martinez. Great grandfather of Ava, Chase and Gabriel. Carlos served in the Navy. He retired from Bell of Pennsylvania after working there for 41 years. Carlos was an avid Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and Sixers phan! He loved playing sports up until he was an ‘old man’ and had both knees replaced – then he became a “walker”. Carlos was one of 13 children – he loved being a part of his huge family and enjoyed family gatherings both at his brother Milo’s house and his own house. “Uncle Carlos’” swimming pool was a popular hangout spot for ALL of his extended family!
