Obituary for James R. MacMichael Jr.

James R. MacMichael Jr. age 58, of East Greenwich Twp. formerly of West Deptford Twp. passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020. Born in Woodbury, he was a member of the Boilermakers local 28 Brotherhood and past graduate of Clearview HS class of 79. Growing up Jim played football and baseball for the Sewell Boys Club and Babe Ruth league where he was known as a " no hitter pitcher". He continued his sports throughout HS. He loved his Philly sports teams and was ecstatic when his beloved Eagles won the Superbowl LII.

He was an avid reader of history and science. He could talk for endless hours about anything and everything. His favorite holiday was Christmas. He enjoyed decorating his home with 3 trees and setting up his Christmas village. In his earlier years he enjoyed dressing up as Santa for the kids. Whether from the beach, boat or lake he also loved fishing.But most of all he loved taking long drives in his convertible Mercedes down the shore watching the sunrise or sunset.

Jim is survived by his son, James R. MacMichael III, his mother, Linda L. MacMichael (Tuel) and two sisters, Debra MacMichael (Joe) and Kathy MacMichael-Shute (Tom). He is also survived by his loving companion, Corinna Wonsetler. Jim was predeceased by his father, James R. MacMichael, Sr. and his faithful dog, Baxter.

Funeral services are private. Burial will take place at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro, NJ. A celebration of life will be celebrated at a later date.
