Obituary for James H. Stewart

James H. Stewart, age 74 of Clayton, NJ died December 13, 2013. Born in Ashland, PA, he grew up in Philadelphia and had also lived in Mantua and Bradenton, FL. He was a Telephone Installer and Repairman for the former PA Bell / AT & T and he retired from Alcatel Lucent in 2000.

James was on a World War II Submarine in the US Navy serving on the USS Carp. An avid fisherman, he served as Past President of the Kiwanis in Anna Maria Island, Florida and he was Past President of the Mantua AA where he coached basketball, baseball, and girls softball.

Husband of Rosemary M. (nee Bain), he is also survived by his children: Linda (James) Bland of Woolwich Twp., NJ, James J. (Holly) Stewart of Richwood, Kim (John) Maslanski of Hatfield, PA and Kathleen (Robert) Scudder of Williamstown, NJ; sister Gail Keller of Philadelphia, grandchildren: Noelle, Jill, Alexandra, Chris, Anthony, Jenn, Drew, Carly, Brian, Sean, Tommy, Jason, Zachary and Jacob and great grandchildren: Zoriyah and Luke. He was pre-deceased by his son: Daniel Stewart, brother: Manford and sister, Marsha.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family 10 - 11 AM Wednesday, December 18 at Richwood United Methodist Church, 104 Richwood Road, Richwood, NJ where funeral services will be held at 11 AM. Interment will be in Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery. Contributions in James's memory may be made to Richwood United Methodist Church, PO Box 7, Richwood, NJ 08074..
