Obituary for James M. Worrell

James M.  Worrell
James M Worrell, age 73, of Gibbstown, NJ passed away Thursday, January 20th, 2022 at Inspira Medical Center Mullica Hill. Born in Woodbury NJ, Jim grew up in Paulsboro and Center City Mantua where he attended and graduated from Clearview High School. After high school he enlisted in the US Navy and served aboard the USS Yorktown
during the Vietnam War. After the Navy he started working at Mobil Refinery as a pipefitter. He is a proud veteran and a life member at Anthony T. Calista Post 5579 in Gibbstown where he served in various positions. He was the President of East Greenwich Little League where he worked to have lights installed and was proud of being able to host their
first all-star game. He enjoyed doing paranormal investigations, watching all his grand kids’ activities including softball, baseball, basketball, soccer, girls wrestling, musicals, and many more. Jim was active in his church, ​loved God, and his family. You would either see him singing, whistling, talking about politics, or cheering on the Steelers.
Survived by his wife, Linda A. (Lauria) Worrell; children; Marion More (Larry), James Worrell (Angela), Jennifer Duggan (Cameron), Cynthia Valentino (Richard), Charles "Mike" Wunsch (Rhona); Grandchildren; Robyn, Krysta, Austin (AJ), Breanna, Jimmy, Suzy, Makaila, Madison, Isabella, Alexis, Linda, and Anthony; Sister; Katie Worrell (Kathy);
predeceased by first wife Roberta, parents Marion & Thomas Sr. and brother Thomas Worrell Jr.
Family and Friends are invited to visit from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 26th, 2022 at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, New Jersey 08051. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am with Pastor Phil Moser officiating. Burial with military honors to follow at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro, NJ 08020. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars or to Fellowship Bible Church Ministries.
