Obituary for Jane Marie Giordano (Grimming)

Jane Marie Giordano (Grimming)
Jane Marie Giordano passed away peacefully, with her loving family at her side, after a courageous battle with Dementia. She was born in Mantua, NJ to Adam & Jennie Grimming. She was a lifelong Gloucester County resident living in Gibbstown for the past 40 years. She graduated from Camden Catholic High School in 1950. Jane married Anthony Giordano on February 16, 1952 and together they raised 5 children. She loved the times living along the Delaware. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Anthony of Gibbstown, NJ, son Michael (Barbara) Cumming, GA, son William (Tamara) Mickleton, NJ, daughter Patricia Arlington, VA, daughter Jane (Denton Leash) Gibbstown, NJ and son Stephen (Margaret) Pennsauken, NJ, grandchildren; Michael, Kenneth, Julia, Shane, Elizabeth, Meghan, Adam, Eric, Alexandra, Amanda and Alexander; 14 great grandchildren; brother in law Joseph (Eleanor) Giordano, sister in law Anita Lombardo and many other extended relatives and dear friend Liz Beach who she considered a sister. Jane was pre-deceased by her granddaughter Jennifer Lynn Giordano.
She was a member of St. John’s Parish in Paulsboro, serving as a member of the Altar & Rosary Society. Jane’s family was her love and passion and there were not many days you did not find her in the kitchen wearing an apron and baking something. She loved to knit and sew. Constantly engaged in conversation, she made everyone she met feel special. Many times, she would begin a conversation with, “remember when”.
Family and Friends are invited to visit from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, February 3, 2020 at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, NJ 08051 and Tuesday, February 4, 2020 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at St. Clare Of Assisi Parish at St. Michael's Church 313 Memorial Avenue Gibbstown, NJ 08027. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00.
